Marulan Mural to start 17th February 2024

PAINT THE TOWN Street Art Festival brings nationally established artists to work simultaneously
with local talent to create murals that reflect our recovery journey since the 2019 black summer fires.

Marulan will have its very own mural painted on the end tower of the Marulan Memorial Hall at 70 George Street this year.

Goulburn Council have approved a proposed work by artist Larissa Nealon. The mural will be painted between the 17th of February to the 4th of March 2024 as part of the PAINT THE TOWN Street Art Festival in Goulburn Mulwaree.

The mural was inspired by co-design workshop held with fire affected community members in Marulan on 8th of September 2023. Larissa is a figurative painter and mural artist living in Gunning.

You can see some of her previous work on Instagram here.

PAINT THE TOWN Street Art Festivals have been rolling out over two years with murals across
Wollondilly, Wingecarribee, Upper Lachlan and soon Goulburn Mulwaree.
